Tutors
The Tutor system at Pembroke is a special feature that we are very proud of. From the Nursery to Year 4, the form teachers are also the tutors for their forms. In Years 5 – 8 there are 4 tutors per year group, allowing tutors to have a small group of boys and girls from that year group but from different forms. The tutor will keep the same group as they move up the school year by year, thus forming an important bond that is central to the way Pembroke House works. Tutors see their group on a Tuesday and Friday morning as well as seeing children individually throughout the week.
Tutors are responsible for the academic, social, mental and everyday welfare of their tutees. They are also responsible for organising the forms with timetables and prep rotas, supervising the letter writing session on a Tuesday morning and helping to organise the form ‘boats’.
