Sponsorship – Scholarships, Bursaries and Teachers
As a charitable trust, Pembroke has always put education first and foremost. We aim to have the highest quality teachers, we look to bring in gifted children, and we financially support many of those that would otherwise not be able to come to Pembroke. Why not contribute to one of these programmes?Scholarships

Ensuring we have a diverse range of children is critical to a school. Our scholarship programme allows us to bring in children that are gifted in one or more of the following areas:
- Academic
- Sporting
- Cultural (music, drama, art)
Scholarships are usually given as between a 5% and 15% discount but if you wish to create a scholarship fund, then the award criteria and % discount can be specified by you (provided the criteria fit with the Pembroke Spirit). For example we have one sponsored scholarship programme already that looks for ‘Future Leaders of Kenya’ and provides a 33% scholarship that the school matches with a 33% bursary.
As a guideline, a 20% scholarship for a whole year would be KSh 261,000 (£1850/$3000).
Bursaries
Financial discounts to parents in need are an important part of Pembroke. Bursaries are based on a detailed submission of financial circumstances and average a 20% discount although they can be up to 40%.
As a guideline, a 20% bursary for a whole year would be KSh 261,000 (£1850/$3000).
Teaching positions
We would be delighted to have people sponsor a teaching position. If there is a particular subject that you loved at school, why not create for example the ‘Smith Chair of Geography’ in your name. Our teaching staff are the heart and soul of Pembroke and helping us to maintain the exceptional quality that we have had over the years is so important.
As a guideline, a contribution of KSh 2m (£14,500/$22,750) towards a teaching position would allow us to add a staff member for a year.
