Renovations for Dorms, Dining and Kitchens

As a charitable trust, Pembroke House has been on a tight budget for quite a while.  As pupil numbers have now risen, we have funds available to put in place much needed renovation work.  We have two separate areas of the next few years that we will be looking at.

Phase 1:  Boys and girls dormitories (Mackie and Scholes Houses)

We will be repainting both of the dormitories.  Beds will upgraded to ‘four posters’ that better facilitate the use of mosquito nets.  Each dorm will also have one bunk bed to allow us to cater comfortably for our extra numbers.

We will also be placing particular emphasis on improvements to the bathrooms in the dormitories, re-flooring and tiling them, and upgrading baths, sinks and taps.

Phase 2:  Dining room and kitchens

We will be adding an extra oven and upgrading the existing kitchen equipment.  Alongside this we will be re-painting and renovating the dining room (walls, tables, benchees and lighting).
