New Classrooms
With the recent growth in pupil numbers, from 137 to 170 in the last year, we are in need of two new classrooms. These will be placed at the back of the so called ‘New Block’ (despite being constructed in the 1970s!).The clasrooms will be constructed using grey cut stone, but with yellow stone bordering the windows and doors. They have also beem designed to be large and spacious with the roofs open to the rafters. The doors will be designed with a ‘castle’ like feel with rounded tops. The idea is to create a modern classroom but with the same traditional feel as the rest of the school.
All the classrooms will be full equipped with the latest teaching equipment and furniture including projectors and smart boards for the most up to date teaching techniques.
We will also be investing in redirecting the KPLC power lines that are overhead to ensure maximum safety.
Total cost is expected to be 4m/- and we must get this done across July/August/September 2011.
